Sirens/Tritons

Here at Dwarka, Sirens & Tritons are your evil, blood lusting merfolk. (Tritons are the male versions of sirens.)

They have the similar appearance of normal mermaids/mermen however sirens & tritons tend to have slightly more animalistic and even feral features. Their teeth might be sharper, their skin - more fish like and their nails be more like claws.

These blood lusting Merfolk are infected with sirenium and need blood to survive. Whether it's from humans, fish or other merfolk. When freshly fed, their appearance may seem rather humane in nature as well as have more control over their behaviours. However when a siren or triton does not feed for several days, they have less control over their nature and appearances begin to transition into their most feral state.

They often hunt humans (Good and bad), but can target many other species with their siren song. Sirens & Tritons are often vain, self-loving and tend to have an unhealthy obsession of trying to turn everyone else into a siren (through a voluntary venomous bite).

Many sirens prefer to procreate via sirenium bite. If a siren falls pregnant, then the sirenium will be passed onto the offspring almost 60-90% of the time. The chances of survival of a siren/triton baby is usually about 50%. Hence why they attempt to reproduce quite often.

Abilities:

1) Siren/Triton Song - Depending on how much charm, they have the ability to influence the mood of their listeners.

2) Split Tail - They can voluntarily split their tail into legs for a maximum of 12-48 hours (depending on age). After this time they will begin to get severely dehydrated with other symptoms of peeling skin, fatigue, weakness and potentially death.

3) Sirenium Bite - They can pass on the sirenium virus to another race to infect them. This is a voluntarily bite ((Please gain OOC consent before attempting this action)).

Weaknesses:

1) Blood Lust - Sirens/Tritons must 'feed' regularly. The most preferable sources are humans and elves however many choose to feed on other sea mammals or large fish. Prolonged time without feeding can result the siren/triton to become more 'wild or feral' and may even attack their own kind.

2) Human form - They are generally more vulnerable/weaker in their human form, especially the longer they are out of water.
